April 22nd, 2026

Frank got a facelift this week. The app features an improved UI with several things to note:

  • Cleaner design with a highlighted main content panel and easier chat panel resizing when it’s open.

  • The sidebar navigation is now expanded by default, making it easier to find your way around.

  • We’ve also updated some of the navigation items for clarity. Finances is its own tab (it used to be tucked into Settings), and Planning → Scenarios.

  • The Chat panel has been updated with new styles and is closed by default now to keep the focus on the main content. However, you’ll notice a floating chat prompt box you can interact with anytime to start chatting with Frank.

Additionally, we made the following improvements last week:

  • Chat has clearer “thinking” states now, rather than generic dots.

  • New! Insight pages have been refreshed with a new layout and now include version history! You can toggle between previous runs to see how things have changed over time. You can also link directly to specific versions of an Insight.

  • Updated registration and onboarding flow: We have updated our signup and onboarding flow with a number of user enhancements to make it faster and easier to get into Frank.

  • Start Here! We added a new card to the home page to help walk you through Frank features that help get the most value out of Frank fast.

  • Refactored Chat: Our chat experience has been updated. Functionally, it’s very similar to what it was before, but now we have a lot more control over our capabilities here, so expect lots more good things to come.

  • Bug Fixes:

    • Fixed an issue some Fidelity accounts were having connecting to Frank.

  • Insights update: We updated the Insights experience with a toolbar instead of a side menu to improve the readability of the insight. We also added new tools to copy the text of the insight and a button to regenerate

  • New! Assign an owner to each account. For users who are managing a household, we heard from many of you that its important for you to see and Frank to know which account belongs to whom. From any account detail page, click “Settings → Edit Account” and choose your family member or “Shared account” for each account.

  • New! Add notes to each account. Sometimes the account name just doesn’t capture everything about the money in an account or what to expect. You can now add additional context for yourself and Frank for each account. From any account detail page, click “Settings → Edit Account” and fill in “Notes” as desired.
